Reclaiming My Vision

Well, I finally took the leap into the unknown and decided to have double cataract surgery, 2 weeks apart. The first one took place on October 12th, and now I'm awaiting the second on the 26th... hopefully, I'll be able to watch all the cool Halloween flicks by the time the holiday rolls around! The experience with the first wasn't bad, but it was very exhausting and surprising, in some respects. For instance, the whole pre-surgery prep took almost an hour and a half, due to me having to sit through insulin and hypertension medications, which - while coursing in my IV, took their sweet time to take both my sugar and high blood pressure - down. I am, however, very grateful - that these medications were on hand for me - and that I was treated with them in a timely manner, just so that I would not have to go home and reschedule the whole thing. Hopefully, the second one will be an echo of the first in both the time taken and the successful result. So far, so good. My sight my still be
